As Sage 200 Manufacturing integrates seamlessly with the Sage 200 core suite of accounting modules there are a number of reasons why a user would use this application. A typical example would be a manufacturer who requires an automated procedure to take a stock demand and schedule the end to end process of ordering the components, scheduling the assembly, managing the operations and machines, tracking the build and subcontractors and then finally producing the item and shipping it to the customer. The system is also scalable and can fit smaller "job shop" operations to accommodate one off manufacturers as well as larger companies who are batch producers.
“The system itself has meant that we have halved our time doing lengthy close of day procedures, we can ensure the correct postings are done through to Our Sage Accounts package instantly as the sale is made and that our customers receive a much more streamlined, professional and accurate service when they visit our store.
The Overall implementation of such a system has certainly helped us keep up with changing trends and the rapid growth that we are experiencing at Drum Stop. Without this system I can't begin to imagine how much work would be involved at our current level of trade. The package has grown with us and the stock system and bar coding is now something that we all rely on”
