A typical Sage Forecasting user will be required to produce various forecast reports relating to either a project or the business in general. Sage Forecasting requires some knowledge of accounting concepts as the system operates in a cause and effect manner (e.g. increase sales may increase the debtors, VAT payable and intimately the bank balance)
A user may have business data stored within a variety of locations so Sage Financial Forecasting will work equally well on its own or when it is linked direct to Sage accounting software, Sage Payroll or Excel spreadsheets. This integration functionality can help automate much of the initial data entry tasks and the updating of forecasts with actual data as the year progresses.
