After being announced last April Making Tax Digital is now a permanent aspect of the back end processes. So it is vital that you understand the Making Tax Digital in Sage 200 procedure.

Making Tax Digital in Sage 200 should be easy if you are using the latest version of Sage 200. As Sage have incorporated a way to submit your VAT returns directly into the software.

If you are unsure as to whether or not you have the latest version of Sage 200 then this tutorial will show you how to check.

While the VAT returns process is similar to what it was before MTD there are now a few extra steps to be completed towards the end of the process. Once these extra steps have been completed the first time it is unlikely you will have to repeat all of them again.
