In the second half of last year, Sage released two version updates to Sage 200 2019. Here we have pulled together the key elements included in these versions in one handy guide.

  • New connections to Microsoft Power BI
    • With this feature, you can integrate your Sage200cloud data with Microsoft Power BI to create immersive business reports & dashboards.
  • New Connections with Microsoft Power Automate (Formally known as Flow)
    • New flows, from Microsoft Power Automate, have been created so that you will now be able to send email notifications for purchase requisitions and supplier bank detail
  • Data Import Updates
    • The standard Sage 200 Import routines within the nominal ledger, stock, sales and purchase ledger have now been amended to allow for updating data as well as new records.
  • Bank Reconciliation
    • You are now able to part reconcile the transactions rather than the full amount and the remaining amount can be reconciled the next time you do your bank reconciliation.
  • Restricting access to bank details
    • In order to further bolster your security, this new functionality restricts access rights and provides a full audit of supplier bank details.
  • Expanded Scan and attach documents
    • This feature means that you can now attach files and scanned documents when you view sales invoices and credit notes. This was previously only available on Purchase Invoices.
  • Reprint remittance
    • To save admin time and to quickly access the files you need, this feature allows you to trace, locate and reprint supplier remittances from wherever you choose to store them.

Other improvements

  • Alongside the range new features and improvements there are some additional released in the 2019 updates.
  • You can now set your EORI number in company details, this is extremely beneficial as this is required by UK companies trading in the EU, and Irish companies trading outside the EU.
  • If you are a UK company, you can now set the Country of Origin for a stock item, this feature was previously only available for Irish companies.
  • You are now able to view a list of who is preventing access If you can’t open a feature because other people are using a related feature.
  • Additionally, following on from your feedback, you can now show the default contact’s email address on the Customers List and Suppliers List.
