Sage Intacct Launches in the UK

Sage has today announced the launch of their SAAS, cloud-based, Sage Intacct accounting product to the UKI market.

What is Sage Intacct?

Intacct is a true web-based, SaaS accounting and financial management software system designed for use by small and mid-size organizations. The product was originally built by finance professionals and is thus heavily focused on customers who require powerful automation of complex processes and multi-dimensional data analysis.

Is Sage Intacct a new product?

First released in 2000, Sage Intacct is not a “new” product (as the now-retired Sage Live was) but is actually one of the pioneering SaaS accounting solutions. Over 10,000 organizations around the world currently use the program. In 2017 Sage acquired the business for $850m and have launched the software in the UKI market at the same time as celebrating the 20^th anniversary of the product.

The application provides a comprehensive suite of financial management and accounting applications. Additionally, it enables key sales business processes with support for order and basic inventory management.

What modules are included with Sage Intacct?

The core functionality set includes Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Cash management, Nominal Ledger, Order Management, Reporting & Dashboards.

Additional modules include: Contract and subscription billing, Contract revenue management, Fixed assets, Inventory management, Multi-entity and Global consolidations, Project accounting, Tax plus Time and expense management.

Developers can integrate with Intacct via its Web Services API. There is also an existing ecosystem of add-on products already available.

What is the cost of Sage Intacct?

In line with Sage UK’s new pricing policy, Intacct is licensed on a software-as-a-service basis. The standard licensing agreement includes hosting, software functionality, support, and access to upgrades.

The normal billing term is annual payment in advance. As you would expect users can choose how many licenses they require, the level of functional user access, and which modules are included.

How do I find out more about Sage Intacct?

Sage Intacct will be sold in the UK through Sage direct and partner channels and is very much seen as complementary to the incumbent Sage 50, Sage 200 and Sage X3 mid-market product range, due to its core strength and focus on financial management.
