Sage 200c 2017 has been built on direct customer feedback. So whilst we all love dashboards, graphs and charts – customers tell us that simplifying business processes is key, and that improving the user experience to help them become more productive on a daily basis is what really matters to them.
So rather than big bold cool and funky new features (there are a few of those), this release focuses on fundamental improvements to core functionality of Sage 200, addressing multiple wish list items and adding value across all modules. New Invoicing Module
Sage 200c 2017 includes a new Invoicing module as standard within the base platform providing fast, effective invoice entry. Existing users will receive this module FOC as part of your upgrade. New users who only require the Financial suite but do regular Invoices no no longer need to buy the Commercials modules – ideal for service industries or those companies with
no despatch process.
New Direct Bank Feeds
Sage 200c 2017 provides a brand new direct bank feed feature providing bank balances and transaction details in near/real time once the customer has authorised their bank
to do so. Direct bank feeds from top high street banks flow straight into Sage 200 creating transactions within the bank feeds form. Users can then check and authorise transactions for allocation/posting as required. Speak to Smith Cooper about the banks currently available.
Export to Excel
Over 80% of Sage 200 customers take Sage 200 data into Excel from report designer reports and find the process cumbersome and time consuming. The new Export to Excel feature allows customers to send data to Excel in a single click with header and footer information removed prior to display in Excel & auto-filtering on all columns with headers enabled, so your Sage 200 data is good to work on as soon as your spreadsheet opens.
Active/Inactive Customers and Suppliers
Most Sage 200 datasets you see in the UK will include the legend *** DO NOT USE **** against multiple customer and supplier records. Following customer feedback, the hiding of Sales & Purchase ledger accounts that are no longer used will allow customers to more effectively view, report and analyse their data without including trader accounts that they no longer transact with.
New Purchase Requisitions
The new purchase requisitions feature provides an easy way to enter requisitions for either stock or free text items regardless of whether you know the supplier or stock code, authorise them, and generate orders.
Authorisation rules let you control who can authorise the requisitions and you can enter and authorise requisitions when you’re on the move using the remote user. This means for employees who need Requisitions, but don’t need full access to Sage 200, you only need a remote user licence (£85 each), and don’t need to purchase additional full desktop users licences.
Sage have added the ability to extend the status of sales order from the current limited options of “Live” & “Complete”. This will allow users to report the exact state of the sales order to cover Allocations, Dispatches and Invoiced. Customers will now be able to quickly and easily track the exact status of an order with superb new list view and report filters.
Rapid Purchase Invoice Entry
As a direct response to feedback from Sage 50 users migrating up to Sage 200, Sage have introduced the ability to enter purchase invoices for multiple lines and trading accounts in a grid format rather than having to enter each one individually.
Given that the Nominal Ledger is the core area of Sage 200, Sage have added facility to store up to 20 analysis codes on each nominal record to allow greater depth of analysis and reporting & vastly improve the core reporting capabilities of Sage 200.
Continuing the work already delivered for easy corrections in Sage 200 v2015 and Sage 200 v2016, customers now have the ability to amend
Customer invoices & credit notes along with Supplier payments & receipts.
